A rich and flavorful butter chicken skillet inspired by Texas Roadhouse, combining tender chicken with a creamy tomato-based sauce.

- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add cubed chicken and cook until browned, about 5-6 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté onion until soft, then add garlic and ginger. Cook for 1 minute.
- Stir in cumin, coriander, turmeric, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Cook for 30 seconds.
- Pour in tomato sauce and bring to a simmer.
- Return chicken to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat, add heavy cream, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 3-4 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
Notes
- For extra richness, add a splash of lemon juice before serving.
- Serve with naan bread or rice.
- Adjust cayenne pepper for desired heat level.
