Description

A comforting dish with tender chicken smothered in a creamy sauce served over rice.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and paprika, then brown on both sides. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté onion and garlic until soft.
  4. Add rice and stir to coat. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet, pour heavy cream over it, and cover.
  7. Cook for another 10 minutes until chicken is fully cooked and rice is tender.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Use brown rice for a healthier option, but adjust cooking time as needed.
  • For extra flavor, add mushrooms or bell peppers when sautéing onions.
